Firstly, you need a Bike

The First aspect of starting something is that you need a simple bike that can take you places. There are bikes of many types.

  1. Off-Road Bikes
  2. Sports Bikes
  3. Cruiser Bikes
  4. Adventure Bikes
  5. Standard Motorbikes
  6. Tour Motorbikes
  7. Sports Tour motorbikes

Generally there are many more types but we will discuss only those that are important in hilly and used for long adventure travels.

Off-Road Bikes – These bikes are specifically made for rough terrains and places that are covered in sand, dust, mud etc. These bikes are designed so that can go in any terrain possible whether that terrain is hilly or rocky or slippery etc.

But these bikes have a major disadvantage for these bikes is that they are not so good in High Speed cruising on roads and everyday commute   Some Examples of These types of Bikes in India are Hero Xpulse 200 and RE Himalayan.

Sports Motorbikes – These bikes are generally designed for racing purposes and high speeds. The suspensions types are designed in such a way is that are made only for proper roads. Even though you can take a sports bike to an off-road terrain but you can face problems like harsher rides, zero comfort and physical damage will be possible too while travelling over rocky or muddy terrain.

Cruiser Bikes – These bikes are generally designed for normal speed cruising on highways. These bikes are comfortable and designed to give you maximum comfort on high speed roads. Some of the best examples are Royal Enfield Interceptor, RE Bullet.

Commuter Segment Bikes – As the name suggests these bikes are specifically designed for day to day commute to your office and back or grocery getter. You can take this these bikes on long tours, but trust me these will be the worst in terms of ride and Handling comfort plus their small capacity engines will not provide enough grunt for high way cruising. Some examples of these bikes are Hero Splendor, TVS Radeon etc.

The biker in you craves for the best journeys that defines your defines your destiny.
